Ban on Soundarya Rajinikanth’s ‘Goa’

Madras High Court has granted interim stay on the film “Goa’, which is produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth under the banner of Ocher Studios. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and is churned out on a big budget.

Recently, there were buzzes that Soundarya Rajinikanth is in deep financial crisis the production cost crossed above the line. Nonetheless, the young entrepreneur made open statements that the film has been successfully completed and will hit screens for Pongal.

Meanwhile, Varun Manian –a Chennai based building contractor has filed a petition against Soundarya at Madras High Court. The petitioner has mentioned that Soundarya had borrowed a loan amount of Rs 50Crs and promised that she’ll payback with 24 percent interest, the transaction was acknowledge by her manager through a letter.

Adding more, Manian states that he also offered an additional amount of Rs.1Cr, for which she had signed on promissory notes.

The company of Ocher Studios has indeed paid him Rs.20Lakhs this June, but failed to settle the pending amount.

Madras High Court has now insisted Ocher Studios to stop the production works of “Goa’ until December 11.
